We Watched A Thing (Formerly Bears on Film) is a weekly podcast in which best friends Billy and Topher, a visual effects artist and a cameraman, catch up to discuss a movie they watched that week.

With a wealth of film knowledge, a love of cinema, and a humorous style, find out what we've watched this week, and what we thought about it.

Spooktober marches on and as it does I continue to make Newski (who hates horror) watch a classic horror movie EVERY SATURDAY THIS MONTH! We’ll be hitting all the big ones - Aliens, Ghosts, Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies. So sit back, pour yourself a Bloody Mary and join us on this journey!

This week we’re talking to the TV, playing with our dining chairs, and swimming through a graveyard, all while discussing the 1982 ghostly classic ‘Poltergeist’.

Poltergeist is a 1982 American supernatural horror film directed by Tobe Hooper and written by Steven Spielberg, Michael Grais and Mark Victor from a story by Spielberg. It stars JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson, Heather O'Rourke and Beatrice Straight, and was produced by Spielberg and Frank Marshall. The film focuses on a suburban family whose home is invaded by malevolent ghosts that abduct their daughter.

We Watched A Thing is supported by Dendy Cinemas Canberra. The best Australian cinema chain showing everything from blockbusters to arthouse and indie films. Find them at https://www.dendy.com.au/
